What does GREENGUARD Certified Mean?

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) has established performance-based standards to define products and processes with low chemical and particle emissions for use indoors. The GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification ProgramSM assures that products designed for use in office environments and other indoor spaces meet strict chemical emissions limits, which contribute to the creation of healthier interiors. GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification requires:

• Accurate emissions testing
• Review of data according to indoor air quality standards
• Risk evaluations recommended and provided by key public health agencies
• Ongoing product performance verification
